The Belfry Guesthouse in Bellingen is a charming retreat. The rooms are clean and there is a wraparound balcony complete with hammocks that captures the stunning valley. There was never any problem using the shared bathrooms. There was always one available and they were clean and spacious. The guesthouse is centrally located. The hosts were lovely. A delightful stay that captures the essence of Bellingen's warmth and character.

I have stayed at hostels around Aus and I would say this is the best one I have ever stayed at. Amazing location, affordable price, comfy beds, great friendly staff and a awesome view.
From my understanding it can't hold a huge amount of people so if there is availability to stay here I would book it ASAP 100%. Thanks again guys for the awesome stay !

Liked · The friendly relaxed atmosphere, the gorgeous architecture of the guesthouse and fantastic location opposite the river and right in the heart of Bellingen town. Bathrooms and shared kitchen areas were spotlessly clean. Easy parking nearby. Great family rooms with bunks.

Homey guesthouse with beautiful surroundings. Great vibe all around! Town center with all sorts of shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Great stay overall! Thanks

Great location and value

My daughter and I really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Belfry. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room was roomy and great for the very reasonable price. The beds are comfortable so we both slept soundly after our long drive. The bathrooms were just across the corridor (so no walking along freezing balconies in the middle of the night!).
The location is excellent - very quiet - it’s in an alley directly parallel to the main street. Parking was available close by. Bellingen’s pub and excellent cafes were a very short stroll away.
